Dieter KaegiBorn in Zurich, Dieter Kaegi studied Musicology and German Literature there and in Paris. After posts at ENO, Zurich and Düsseldorf, Mr. Kaegi was named Director of Productions at the Aix-en-Provence Festival. For Opera Ireland, where he has been the Artistic Director since 1998, he directed Aida, Don Carlo, Faust, Lady Macbeth of Mzensk, Queen of Spades, Cavalleria Rusticana, I Pagliacci, Ariadne auf Naxos, Falstaff, Martha, Così Fan Tutte and Mazeppa. Plans for 2009/2010 include Der Rosenkavalier in Marseille, Lucio Silla in Nice, Macbeth in Dublin, Pollicino in Florence, and Tannhäuser in Montpellier.
