Soprano

Adréana KraschewskiSoprano Adréana Kraschewski studied voice with Klesie Kelly at the Cologne College of Music, where she graduated with distinction. She then furthered her training in the art song class of Irwin Gage at the Saar College of Music. She received a scholarship from the German People's Educational Trust Fund and was a prizewinner of various competitions such as the National Music Competition - voice, and the German Board of Music Competition.

She participated in masterclasses given by Kurt Moll, Thomas Hampson, Christa Ludwig, Inge Borkh, Francisco Araiza, Jessye Norman, Philip Langridge, Dame Felicity Lott, as well as Norman Shetler and Graham Johnson.

Various professional engagements include: Beethoven Hall, Beethoven House and Bonn Opera, Cologne Philharmonic, Music Hall Zürich, Helsinki Festival, Festival Hall Baden-Baden, European Music Academy Aix-en-Provence, Opera Festival Heidenheim and Opera Festival Haldenstein, WDR Cologne, a recital with Graham Johnson in the de Singel Hall Antwerpen, Belgium, and a showcase in the artists' portrait series musikdebüt on SWR television.

Following her first professional engagement in the International Opera Studio Zürich Opera House, she was engaged for the 2007 / 2008 season as a member of the Theater Trier ensemble, where she remained for two seasons. Roles in Trier included Laura in The Bettelstudent, Iphise in Dardanus, Ortlinde in Die Walküre, Queen of the Night in Die Zauberflöte, Antonia in Les Contes d'Hoffmann, and Liù in Turandot.

Ms. Kraschewski has also performed at following theaters: Staatstheater Darmstadt, Theater Trier, Landestheater Linz, and Theater Heidelberg. She has been nominated in the category "Young upcoming vocal artist 2009" for her interpretations of the Queen of the Night, Liu and Antonia by the leading German opera magazine Opernwelt. She also received a second nomination in Opernwelt for "One of the best achievements of singers of the year 2011" for her outstanding performance of Lakmé.

Engagements in the 2011/2012 season are: Hanna Glawari in Die Lustige Witwe and the three heroines in Les Contes d'Hoffman at Staatsheater Darmstadt. She will give her debut as Micaëla in Carmen at the Opernfestspiele Heidenheim in summer 2012.
